From the 1950’s, Sori Yanagi initiated a deep connection with Tendo Mokko. “Butterfly Stool (S-0521)” is the most famous, but the collaboration with lasted until the end of century with a great dining set. 

The backrest and seat of the shell chair is made from on piece of molded plywood from Sapelli with steel pipes for legs. The steel pipe legs, which protrude form the center of the seat and the shell, may look insecure.
