The Kotobuki chair was designed by Sori Yanagi in 1969.
The Kobotuki chair has a comfortable FRP shell seat, steel plated legs and original black and yellow upholstery.
Back in the 1960s, this chair was used in public buildings such as libraries. In recent years, its design and functionality have been reviewed into a stackable version – without the distinctive shape of the legs – and sold under the KOTOBUKI brand.
Our piece is an original and rare item with molded designer’s signature and manufacturer’s label under the seat.
