TESHIMA TAMOTSU
Born in 1963, Teshima Tamotsu established Tamotsu Teshima Architect & Associates in 1998.
"The house should be part of the landscape. It must be reliable and close to everyone's life aspirations. For example, it protects against wind and rain, strong sunlight in summer and cold in winter. The windows, sligthly opened, allow fresh air and light to enter. Not only are the walls and pillars structurally sturdy, but they also give a sense of confidence, of being a safe place. Occupants should feel that they are living in a landscape where the light shining through the windows reflects the changing seasons and times of day. In this way, the architecture is born from the balance of the elements arranged one by one, integrating themselves. Design is the process of creating a place to enrich hearts."
