Very well known for its work on libraries, Shigeru Uchida intended to create a variety of changes beyond the shape of things by adding colors to shelves in pure abstract form.
The shelves ‘Begin the Beguine’ were designed for the “vague hazy transparent wavering” exhibition in Tokyo and New York in 2009.
This piece is an original one with Uchida’s signature.
