This rattan stool is a very rare model designed by Riki Watanabe for Yamakawa Rattan.

Founded in 1952 by Hichiro Yamakawa and developped by his son Yuzuru Yamakawa, Yamakawa Rattan is one of the most renowned company in Japan, specialized in creating high quality design of rattan furniture. Top designers as Isamu Kenmochi, Riki Watanabe or Yuruzu Watanabe did design for the company during the second half of the XXth century.
